AMC aired a tumultuous episode 8, which was probably one of the best episodes of the season so far perhaps the second best after that chilling premiere. But all the bad episodes in between episode 1 and episode 8 wore me down to the point where I wasnt really excited about last nights mid season finale at all. Before I get into what happened in this latest episode though, please make note of the obvious and obligatory spoiler alert. Last nights episode was great. We had plenty of action, including walker fights, and we saw almost all of the shows most important characters in it. Photo by Ben Mark HolzbergSyfy. Syfys 12 Monkeys is in an interesting situation. The show has already been renewed for a fourth and final season, but season. Showtime Full The Age Of Adaline Online Free more. Well, the first half of the season is done, and we needed a break considering how slow this season has been so far. It did end with a few bangs, though things could have been a lot more entertaining. Nearly every arc of season 7 came to a close during the mid season finale. Its great to see everyone getting face time and dialogue in the episode, and there are some amazing moments. But the bad episodes from previous weeks still cast a long shadow over the mid season finale. Lets start with Rick. He finally sees the light. He has to fight. He has to bring everyone together. But its laughable to see that what finally convinced Rick is the fact that two more people died. Spencer, who had it coming for a few episodes now, and Judiths babysitter, whos so insignificant in the grand scheme of The Walking Dead that she had to go. So after Glenn and Abraham died, Rick was willing to work for Negan and the Saviors. But now hes ready to fightSure, the fact that Negan did what he did in a time span of a few days, including showing up at his house, raises plenty of flags. Its clear that you cant really win with the Saviors. But Ricks entire lets play nice routine doesnt work. Even if you have to pretend in front of Negan, its really not something you can do in this universe. As for Negan, last nights show proves that hes a great villain. And a great leader too, which is something I pointed out weeks ago. Hes an excellent judge of character, and hes keenly aware he cant kill just about anybody. Negan spared Rick and Carl, seeing their potential. But hes not eager to have a would be traitor like Spencer among his ranks. He also recognized immediately that Rosita doesnt have the skills to make bullets. Just as easily, he can tell that Eugene is indeed the type of person who would rather know how to make bullets than fight. Im betting Eugene will be put to good use in the future. Making bullets. Hey, at least Negan didnt take Judith, which would have been a pretty ballsy move. We also got to see Negan scared for the first time. Rosita had a chance, and she took it. Watch Sing Street 4Shared'>Watch Sing Street 4Shared. Negan only survived thanks to sheer luck, but he realized he could have died. He also keeps Rosita alive because people like her are still valuable to him. Thats why he probably doesnt go on the killing spree youd expect him to. Rosita doesnt need more praise. Shes a bad ass and she knows it. But her actions, combined with Michonne, Maggie, Spencer and Carl only prove yet again that theres something seriously wrong with Rick. Rick isnt able to really lead if hes not uniting people and helping them work together. The Alexandria group behaves erratically after Glenn and Abraham die because of Rick. Partly because of his decision to work with Negan, which they dont agree with, and partly because these people do not really communicate with each other effectively. After all this time. Every character in Alexandria close to Rick wanted to kill Negan, but Rick let every opportunity slip away. Daryl makes a daring escape in episode 8, but were not treated to it yet. Thats the kind of action that would deserve more than a few scenes. And he doesnt really get to talk that much. Watch Cristiano Ronaldo: World At His Feet Online. He needs lines, and he needs to cut his damned hair. Carl, too. Carol is in a bad place right now, and everyone is looking to motivate her to be the bad ass leader we loved in previous seasons. Its a complex arc for her, one that doesnt make her very likable in season 7. Thats probably why we dont get to see her much. Aaron should have died in that lake. Wed miss him, but whens the last time someone was bit fighting walkers The scene where theyre fighting walkers on water is already great. But rather than have Spencer and whats her name die at the hand of Negan, we could have also seen Aarons demise. The reason Walking Dead is so overcomplicated right now is that there are too many recurring characters that need stories of their own. As for that finale, where everyone is all smiles again, and every conflict finds resolution, thats another strange direction the writers took. Would you, as Rick, not want to see how Maggie is doing right after that first episode Would you not enforce stronger security and scavanging policies for the Alexandria communityWould you not inquire about Carol and Morgan Yes, Walking Dead characters are often still inexplicably stupid and seem too inexperienced to deal with this world. Thats why, no matter how great last nights episode was, I am happy Walking Dead 7 is over for the time being. A New Group Emerges. Rick and the core Walking Dead group have come across their fair share of ugly situations, but to some degree, they have come out of them mostly unscathed, with the exception of a few body counts. Therein lies the problem with the next episode of The Walking Dead, according to TV Guide. It would make sense for a new society to pop up, but not one that does not fall under the rule of Negan and the Saviors. This is the part of the article where we need to give you a spoiler warning. If you have not seen the last episode of The Walking Dead, or if you do not want certain plot points for Episode 7 spoiled for you, then you should only proceed with that spoiler warning in mind. Episode 8 of The Walking Dead will feature the return of Heath and Tara, both of which havent been seen for a quite a long time on the show. They were last seen packing up for a two week trip to collect supplies and anything else that is deemed necessary for the core Walking Dead group in Alexandria to survive. That was way back when they attacked the Savior compound in Season 6 and they were fresh off the heels of what they thought was a major victory against the tyrannical group. Fans of The Walking Dead need to keep in mind that Tara and Heath have both been in the dark as to what has gone down in the last two long weeks since they have seen their Alexandria family, according to Entertainment Weekly. A sneak peek of The Walking Dead Season 7, Episode 8, which is titled Nothing Left, shows fans that Swear really is just surmising that the innocence of Tara and Heath at this point is only due to the fact they have no idea what kind of carnage has taken place since their departure. Heath feels the torment of having killed the men and women of the Saviors compound and they have no idea that Negan is a real person that has taken on the role of supreme commander for the entire territory they all live in. Although the details of their journey thus far are vague, it is apparent that Tara and Heath have both come up with mostly nothing to bring home. Tara laments that they need to stay on the road to find more than just food. Medicine is a major point that she makes, but Heath is more concerned with his actions thus far, showing that he now sees the world as kill or be killed. It is unclear at this point if Swear will be the episode that The Whisperers make their first appearance, but fans of The Walking Dead comic book know that the group plays a major role in how the area around Alexandria gets shaped in the future. But what The Walking Dead fans do know about The Whisperers is that they certainly are a group that plays by their own set of rules and abides by those principles for their own survival. They are far from what most might call the normal rules in the ordinary Walking Dead world, but they have certainly survived the apocalypse using them. Fans of The Walking Dead can tune in this Sunday for all new episode on AMC. Remember, there are only three episodes of The Walking Dead left until they go on their mid season break. They wont be back until February after that.
